The Inner World – A hilarious and critically acclaimed 2D-Point’n’Click Adventure.

Robert is a novice, a bit clueless, but with a heart of gold. He lives a peaceful life as a court musician in Asposias largest wind monastery. Contrary to the laws of physics, Asposia is an enormous, hollow space surrounded by an infinite expanse of earth. The worlds air is provided through three wind fountains, but as one wind fountain after the other petered out and the wind gods came to Asposia, all of the sudden Robert found him in the middle of a whirlwind.

Together with the help of the mysterious thief Laura, his best intentions and no clue whatsoever, Robert sets off on his adventure to discover the secret of the winds disappearance. Will the young adventurer be able to save his world? And what are Laura´s secret intentions…?

Pros and cons of The Inner World app for iPhone and iPad

The Inner World app good for

Amazing one, beautiful story and characters, probably one of the best I ever played. Music is really great here and plays the very important part in the story. The ending is very touching. The must-have.
Lovely art, engaging story. Easy enough to pick up where you left off if you only have a couple of minutes to play. Puzzles were difficult enough without being frustrating. Wish there were more games like it.
The storyline is great but the game itself can be a little glitchy
Briliantly designed game! I havent played a game with that much pleasure for a long time. Dialogues are a bit long but it is worth the time and money! Youll be lost in the flute noses world.
this game is just awesome! Funny, logical and has a good story. Perfect quest
I just completed the game for the second time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Outstanding concept, detail, puzzles, humor and story. THE best quest game for iOS.

Some bad moments

I play a lot of adventure click and play games and this one is the worst thus far. Not worth the money and more like a click and LISTEN game. Way to much drabby conversation and music!
This game has the potential to be amazing to too filled with glitches. Ive already had to start over once because of a glitch I couldnt get past. Now Im near the end and it happened again. Not starting over again. Ill just cut my losses and move on to something that works.
For whatever reason it thinks one of my items is a different item, and so it wont interact normally. (It thinks the Exclamation Point is a Hammer on the bridge area with the guards). Restarting the app doesnt help. It is also behind in hints. It thinks Im further behind in the game than I am. I generally dont need hints, but this was so weird I had to check them.
-Review update 9/15/16: I have to conclude that this broken, buggy game has been abandoned by the developer since its now 2 1/2 years since an update has been done. For details read on... -Review update 3/2/15: Its now been an entire year since the last app update and the problems I describe below (at the end of this post) in my original review continue. Meanwhile, the Developers have just released a new game derived from this one and Im beginning to wonder if they are abandoning this app in favor of focusing on grubbing new money at the expense of already established customers. I hope not but if so, this is just another ripoff. I visited their website, in hopes of finding a news update but nothing. I also sent an email inquiry and just below is the "conversation" that ensued; I will continue to update my review as needed... *********************** Text of emails: Help, Developers: (2/20/15) I thought you might want to read my app review of Inner World (copy below), just updated on iOS App Store, and let me know whats happening in regard to a bug-squashing refresh of this app so I might know when to check for its next update, as Im getting pretty frustrated with having paid you my hard-earned cash for something that doesnt work as advertised. As you are probably aware, Im not your only dissatisfied customer, as evidenced by other posted reviews. -Hello [Reviewer] (2/26/15) first of all sorry for the late reply. I´d like to apologize for this issue. We can´t read all reviews we get for all our games, however we answer every single support email we get. The game has been tested on several devices without any issues, but of course problems might occur on different system setups. Can you describe the problem a little bit further (when does the game crash? Directly upon start, or at a specific place in the game)? Maybe we can help you fix this problem. I also put the developer in Cc, so he can check this issue as soon as possible (and the Headup Games support will be out of office until 9th March). Of course if a game is not working you can request a refund, but you will need to request the refund from Apple as all purchases are handled by Apple directly. As for "The Inner World - The Puzzle": this app has been developed by a completely different developer as it is a completely different game that is only based on the same IP. Anyway, I´m sure we will be able to sort this out and I´m looking forward to your feedback. -Hi Developers: (2/27/15) Thanks for responding to my email. Normally, I contact developers first before posting a review when I experience this sort of problem but here I chose to make an exception after, 1) checking the website and finding no reference to Inner World on the iOS platform (just Win and Mac); and 2) checking the app update log on Apples iOS app store (finding no updates for so many months), leading me to conclude that the iOS version had likely been abandoned. Also, because of this, I threw out my notes so I can only give you a general idea of what I experienced back in December as follows: After posting my initial review, I deleted Inner World simply out of frustration. I had played well into the game while experiencing intermittent very annoying crashing during ongoing play sessions (not when opening the app to begin play or at just one game point but throughout play at various points). These crashes closed the game and I had to reopen it and it reloaded and I continued until it happened again. I do remember that I gave up on the game near the end of Chapter 3 (using the baked key to enter the chapel). My iPad Air 2 (2GB Ram/ 128 GB memory running iOS 8.1.2) is quite robust and does not do this sort of crashing with other apps, hence I believe your app may need to be updated for iOS 8. Anyway, please let me know when you will be updating for iOS 8 because Id like to finish your otherwise charming game even though I will have to plod through the first three chapters again. Also, it would be great if a way could be coded into the game to allow entry and play midway without having to start all over. ******** -ORIGINAL REVIEW 12/16/14: This otherwise delightful game keeps crashing on my new iPad Air 2 (128 GB running iOS 8.1.2). I see the most recent update for this game was more than nine months ago. Developers owe paying customers a prompt bug-squashing update "yesterday" and certainly before the end of 2014! I will eagerly await an update and may accordingly revise this review.
I liked the story and the art, but the game is filled with bugs. The virtual buttons stop working often. And the game will be stuck after doing certain things and I wont be able to interact with objects or even walk at all. And Im not talking about a minor bug you only encounter once in the game, Im in chapter 2 right now, and it has happened to me more than 5 times. I also find many puzzles in the game that does not make sense and is extremely hard without help. (many solutions just does not make sense)
This *looks* like my kind of game, but despite having all sounds and music on full volume, there is no audio while playing on my new iPad. This review will be updated if (...and this is a big "if") this is resolved.
